Congrats to Braeden! He has been working on learning all of his Prayers (Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be, and Grace before meals). He recited them all two weeks ago and has anxiously been waiting for his prayer pin because classes were cancelled due to a snow day and Ash Wednesday. He received his prayer pin and an award this week. (It is the little dot on his left shoulder on the yellow)

Of course a day late…been busy!
This is Braeden’s Mardi Gras mask he made at Religious Education. They made them two weeks ago and were going to have a Mardi Gras/Valentine Party last Wednesday. Of course the snow came and school was cancelled which means no church activites. Class is cancelled tonight so they can attend Ash Wednesday services. He hopes they can have the party, but Lent has started so we will see.
In the meantime for Lent he is going to try to share with his brothers and sisters better. I think he does a pretty good right now, I was hoping he would just quit chasing them.

What makes my Valentine’s Day?
They are all in the same picture….not perfect, but Brenna hasn’t ran away and Liam is cracking up. They all make my Valentine’s day, along with my wonderful hubby. But I did get an unforgettable compliment today.
Liam is such a little charmer, you have to love the kid. He has been running around to everyone the past few days and out of the blue, spouting “Happy Valentine’s Day”. He will gaze into your eyes and hold your head to tell you that he loves you.
Today he is holding my head and he says….”Your eyes are so blue, they are like BLUEBERRIES”. Pretty nice from a 2 yr old, lol!

We survived the shopping cart today

I absolutely loathe these carts, but I had to get groceries today. Normally I would wait until after my hubby comes home, but I need to help out in Braeden’s Religious Education class tonight.
So back to round 6 on the TV stroller. I was a bit scared as I was getting the kids ready (no small feat these days) Getting the tangles out of Brenna’s hair, hoping she won’t decide she wants to wear her swimsuit or favorite princess costume. I told them we were going too early….I should have got myself ready first.
I figured I would run upstairs and brush my teeth and throw my hair in a ponytail. I was gone all of maybe 2.5 minutes. I knew it was too quiet. They found the hot cocoa mix, Brenna made herself a bowl of it….chocolate ALL over her face that I had just cleaned. Liam has the cocoa container and he is sprinkling it all over the kitchen floor.
I almost threw the towel in, but decided to push on. On the way to Meijer, I went over all the expectations, etc. I even explained if the Dora cart wasn’t there we would get the Bob the Builder one. Thank goodness once we arrived Dora WAS there. It started with the Backyardigans, but that seemed to be okay.
Movie was on, they got antsy about 15 minutes later, we went to visit the fish which always makes them happy. They told the fish goodbye and by that point Dora was started which they really like. They lasted about another 15 minutes before they started to get antsy again. I pulled out the ring pops I found in the van from last summer and they were happy….they haven’t seem then in months!
Got all the way to the register without the thing stopping and locking up, shutting down the show, anyone crawling out, anyone being hit, pinched, etc, there wasn’t even any crying or tears! The transfer to the cart (you can’t take the TV carts out to the parking lot) went well, put Liam in the top of the stroller and carried Brenna (much lighter). I was so happy I almost broke out in the “WE DID IT” Dora dance!
