Some Halloween fun!

I think we have had something almost every day lately for all the Halloween activities going on.

On Friday we went to the university where Ed works at and did some trick or treating from department to department.  Since the trick or treating was all over the campus we took the wagon.  Braeden had fun waving his sword all over until someone gave him Wendy’s chili hot sauce instead of candy…the same guy gave him black olives in his bag last year.  Anyway, he says next year he is not going to that department.

   

Yesterday we went to our multiple group Halloween party.   Braeden had fun playing the games.  Liam just wanted to run all over and Brenna enjoyed her cookie with frosting and sat eating it and getting messy for at least 30 minutes.  She loved it.

Yes, I know I never post pics of myself and have been hearing about it. Anyway I needed a new avatar and so I let Braeden hold my camera and take a few pics the other day.  See how he did…

Wow…my right eye looks a lot bigger than the left one, Brenna has that too, I don’t think its normally as noticeable as it is in this pic though…but maybe I am used to it, wow that looks freaky!  Gosh I am overanalyzing this huh…guess that’s why I don’t do pictures very often!

My boys need some serious dance lessons

Ha ha!  Liam’s favorite sounds is Signing Time’s “Proud to be me” and any time it comes on he dances and dances….well his Liam dance.  He looks like a little old man dancing, its so cute.  I just found this from a few weeks ago and we got a good giggle watching it, hope you do too!  Anyway, Braeden had to join him in the end and then the cd started skipping…ugh! Brenna just sat and laughed at them.  I have the feeling this might be one video those boys dread when they get older.  Oh yeah, the skipping it’s not the cd, its the cd player, if you know how to clean a cd player, let me know.

Yes, I am slacking a bit, October is always a really busy month for us.  My parents and my sister and nephew Lochlan were there too.  The kids had a fun time.  Braeden loves to play with Lochlan and they had so much fun in the kiddie area.  Liam liked the lazy river and Brenna like the swings and baby slides.  Braeden tried the family ride that was a bigger one that went in the dark and was quite a bit upset afterwards.  After the babies were sleeping, my mother and I headed to the hot tubs.

                         Braeden got to pick where to go for dinner and he picked Cold Stone Creamery….we did make him chose somewhere else for the actual “dinner” though, can’t just have ice cream, even on your birthday.

Braeden’s 6th birthday Party

Braeden had his first “friend” birthday party on Sunday.  It was a nice way to get to know some of the kids and parents from his class.  We had the party at a bounce place at the nearby outlets and they did a nice job organizing everything.  All I had to do is make the the cakes and get things for goodie boxes and they did the rest.

Our trip to the Pumpkin Patch

We had a great day for the Pumpkin Patch, I remember some years where we are wearing winter coats, hats, etc.  Today it was 79 degrees out and sunny.  Braeden had fun picking out our pumpkin, Brenna liked the donuts, and Liam liked running all over for me and Nana.

Tomorrow is Braeden’s b-day party, so my mom came over and played with the kids while I finished up Braeden’s birthday cake since Ed was at the UM game.  Go Blue!  They aren’t looking so good though…I was a bit happy (don’t tell) when I found out they lost because I knew they would be home a bit earlier.
